Doing What They Do Best

by Phil & Pam Morgan

/
1.
Sailing peaceful waters, twelve disciples in a boat, When suddenly a storm was testing if their faith would float. Staring in amazement, not believing what they heard, How could Jesus stop the waves and wind with just one word? CHORUS When the storms of life are raging and you see no hope in sight, You're searching for solutions but nothing turns out right, And then from out of nowhere all your fears are laid to rest That's just God... doing what He does best. So if you find you're floating on a rolling sea of doubt, And everywhere you turn's another way you can't get out. The fear you feel is real, but you haven't reached the end, Now the stage is set for mighty Jesus to step in. CHORUS Can you hear Him calling through the crashing of the waves? His gentle voice is saying, "My Child, don't be afraid." CHORUS
2.
Every 30 seconds a new book is being printed, Everywhere you turn there's more to read. It's hard to tell the difference between the fact and fiction. What should you ignore? What should you believe? CHORUS Read the red, just read the red Truth is written in the color of the blood that Jesus shed. If you want to know what's wrong or right Read more than just the black and white And build your faith upon what Jesus said, Open up your Bible, read the red. Running through the Bible is a thread that's colored crimson, Every page is pointing us to Christ. He's the power of salvation, if we will only listen To Words that bring us hope, Words that bring us life. CHORUS There's wisdom in His words. There's mercy in His love. There's glory in the cross And there's power in the blood. CHORUS

People say I'm crazy to believe this Jesus stuff. "Boy, you're treading on thin ice, when will you have enough?" But they don't understand what I'm seeing from this spot or, They would know that treading on thin ice, is still walking on water. Chorus: I'm gonna go where God tells me to go, I don't need to know how He's gonna make it so, I find my faith is growing, as I'm following the father, Even when I'm treading on thin ice, I'm still walking on water. What the world sees as trouble's just an opportunity, For God to pave a path through my impossibility, Oh, there is perfect peace, only faith has to offer, So even when I'm treading on thin ice, I'm still walking on water. CHORUS I don't need to understand God's plan I know He can see more than I can, So I keep holding to his hand... CHORUS

David didn't dream he could ever do it, Being a king was gonna be hard. But David didn't dive to the depths of confusion, He always called for God to be his guard. David didn't draw from the well of evil, David had a heart that heard God's voice. But David didn't drown in all his sorrow, David didn't hide his holy choice. CHORUS David did dance, David did sing. David did dance, David did swing. David did dance, and I know why David did dance, and so can I. David didn't do everything that he should have, he was always human thru and thru. But David didn't drop everything he believed in, and David didn't dare forget the truth. David didn't drive down the road of perfection, but David didn't dock on the shore of defeat. David drank the new wine of the spirit, and it found it's way down to his feet. CHORUS Sometimes you can't help it, Sometimes you don't care Sometimes it's a feeling, like a breath of heaven's air Sometimes you just smile, and other times you cry Sometimes you begin to move and sometimes you see why CHORUS

I wasn't there when the children of Israel walked out of Egypt that day, Headed for freedom in a new land of promise, till the mighty red sea blocked their way. They watched in amazement as the waters were parted, unbelievable, yet oh so real, I wasn't there to join their rejoicing, but I know how that feels. CHORUS I was there when the curtain of darkness was parted By the flood of God's marvelous light. I was there when the fortress, sin built around me, Fell to the earth with no fight. I was there when the voice that spoke all creation Called my name with mercy and care, When the savior decided to save one more sinner, Praise God, I was there. I wasn't there when the army of Israel, marched around old Jericho. The soldiers all knew, that walking in circles would never conquer this foe. Then the ground started shaking and the walls began crumbling at the sound of the ram's horn peal, I wasn't there for that day of deliverance, oh but I know how that feels! CHORUS

I've prayed for a touch from my Savior, I've prayed for His healing and peace. Now I'm praying a prayer of thanksgiving, For the miracle God has done for me. CHORUS He fed five thousand with two fish and five loaves, He healed the bleeding woman with one touch of His clothes. I claim my own miracle, from the God who never fails, Cause He built me a mansion with two boards and three nails. I prayed Lord, please take me to heaven, I'll live a good life and I'll do my best. Then He said, "Child, you can't earn your salvation. Just love Me, and I'll do the rest." CHORUS You can claim your own miracle, from the God who never fails, And He'll build you a mansion with two boards and three nails.

Goliath had the soldiers a-shaking in their boots, Little David came and said "Hey, what is this?" The soldiers said "That giant, he's just way too big to hit." But David said, "He's way too big to miss." CHORUS With God (with God) I can do it, There's no challenge that's too big to overcome. With God (with God) I can do it, I'll just stand my ground and watch old Satan run. Paul had a problem called a thorn in his flesh, He prayed three times for it to go away. But God said "My grace is sufficient for you" And I can almost hear old Paul say ... CHORUS INSTRUMENTAL The devil came to torment and discourage me last night, He said I don't deserve to be alive. He told me I can never do the works I wanna do, I just raised my eyes to heaven and I cried CHORUS 2x I'll just serve the Lord until He says "Well done."

If you dig a great big pit, And forget to cover it, Then a donkey falls in it, You shall not be stoned CHORUS 1 You shall not be stoned, hallelujah, You shall not be stoned, hallelujah, You shall not be stoned, hallelujah, You shall not be stoned. - Exodus 21:33-34 If your bull should a person gore, And it's done that before, Your bull will be no more, And you shall be stoned. CHORUS 2 You shall be stoned, hallelujah, You shall be stoned, hallelujah, You shall be stoned, hallelujah, You shall be stoned. - Exodus 21:28-29
13.
In the seasons of life, there is an ebb and flow, Sometimes your energy is high and other times it's low. You wait upon your second wind for strength to carry on, But what happens when your second wind's already come and gone? CHORUS I passed my second wind, just ___ and it was gone. I'm breezing thru the day to day just barely hanging on, I'm holding out for something, some people say's absurd. I passed my second wind, now I'm waiting for my third. This old body thru the years, has become a symphony, From the ringing in my ears, to the crackle of my knees, Those spicy foods I used to love, now rumble down below, I warn you friend, take cover when you hear that trumpet blow! CHORUS
14.
15.
I was ready to walk through the door God had opened, Then in a moment, it was open no more. I may be confused, still I rest secure That all will be well when God shuts the door. CHORUS When God shuts a door, He still holds the key I don't understand but I choose to believe God knows what best so I'll let Him lead To the door meant for me, He holds the key. Though every decision I've learned to trust Him, Surrender my way to His will and plan. He has always been faithful, now I understand The key to my life is there in his hand. CHORUS God knows what best so I'll let Him lead To the door meant for me, He holds the key. There's a door just for me, He holds the key.
16.
17.
God came and knocked at my heart's door. He said, "I'll live here, just clean this mess off the floor. All this junk, throw it away." I said, "Lord, you don't understand, I've tried and I can't." He said "No, but I can." CHORUS God can change a life, make the broken brand new, He did it for me and He'll do it for you. There's no sin that so black that His blood can't remove God can change your life, if you'll just ask Him to. There's a question, my friend, I have to ask, Is your heart plagued by guilt, from mistakes in your past? Are you enslaved by the sins, you hope no one can see? Just give them to Christ, and live forgiven and free. CHORUS God can change your life, cause He changed my life, God can change your life, if you'll just ask Him to.

I started out traveling for the Lord many years ago, I had a lot of heartache, had a lot of grief and woe. But when I'd stumble then I would humble down, And I'd say, "Thank the Lord I wouldn't take nothing for my journey now" CHORUS No I wouldn't take nothing for my journey now, I've got to make it to heaven somehow, Though the Devil tempts me and he tries to turn me around. He's offered everything that's got a name, All the wealth I want and worldly fame, If I could still I wouldn't take nothing for my journey now. There's nothing in the world that will ever take the place of God's love, Silver and gold couldn't buy a mighty touch from above, When I begin kneeling, then I begin feeling his power, And I can say, "Thank the Lord, I wouldn't take nothing for my journey now" CHORUS
